Michel Buffa

Michel Buffa teaches Web technologies at the University of Nice, France, since 1994. Michel belongs to the Wimmics research group  from I3S/CNRS and INRIA laboratories, located in Sophia-Antipolis, France and specialized about Web-Instrumented Man-Machine Interactions, Communities, and Semantics.

Michel co-authored and developed the semantic wiki SweetWiki. He recently co-supervised  two PhDs on semantic social network analysis and on semantic enrichment of folksonomies. He also supervises students who use HTML5 at the heart of the software they develop during their PhD thesis, including a JavaScript semantic wiki (WikiNext) that uses Web sockets, as well as a HTML5 WYSIWYG editor.
